At noon we continued our cruise to "Yasawa Island". Arriveing the island we hiked 30 minutes across the jungle to a village named "Dolomo Village". There we were alloed to seen a Kava-ceremony.

The Yanggona or Kava is a sedative nonalcoholic drink, wich anaesthetizes tongue and lips. The native extraction it from dry roots of the pepperplant. The root will be scraped and crushed in a mortar. After then the natives put the substance in a textilbag and wash it out in a bowl with water until the liquid become brown.

The crowd will sitting in a semisircle arround the chief and each guest got served the brown liquid in a shell of coconut. You clap once in your hands, take the shell and drink it up. After this you clap two times and return the empty shell.

At dusk we were hiking to the beach again. After a bath in the ocean we went back to our schip.
