TRANSLATE 12. Some kilometers outside of the city there are situated the swamps; the Bayous of New Orleans. Just arrived in time, so as to take part in a tour at the swamps. After a few minutes we crossed a deserted area and entered more and more this beautiful biosphaere. The strange grey hangings on the trees are spanish moss, which makes the Bayous a fairy tale forrest.

Not far the swamps we visited one of the largest and most striking plantation buildings of this region. It's simple to imagine, that 150 years ago effusive festival were celebrated under the majestic oak trees, and you are remembered to "Scarlett O'Hara" of the south state epic "Gone with the Wind".
