TRANSLATE 2. After our checking out of the hotel we took our rental car. We were surprised when we saw a Mercury with 8 cylinders and a cubic capacity of 4,7 litres. After a short drive over the Golden Gate we changed the Mercury in a Ford Taurus, which we had in former times. Once again over the Golden Gate then the Highway 1 along the coast to north. First stop was "Bodega Bay" where we visited the famous school of Alfred Hitchcocks "The Birds".

Two hours later we visited the "Sea Ranch Chapel", a small but very interesting chapel. The winding roof consists of zedern wood and copper; the striking spire of bronze was inspired by a wind-tousled tree.
