By bus we
drove innumerable curves steep up to the edge of the crater, drove past strange trees and
bushes, enjoied the great panorama to the surrounding islands and than we came into the
crater. We saw the boiling water, the steams of sulphur came into the nose - the last
eruption was 413 before Chr. It is supposed, Nissiros was separeted from Kos by a volcanic
eruption in the farmer age.
