9. Alarm call at 3.15am. We attend in a balloon trip over Theben
West. Still before sunrise we start by a hot-air balloon from a acre into the black
nightsky. Its breathtaking. We are flying over the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of
Hatschepsut and the Memnonkolosses which we visited 5 days before. We moved up to 600
meters. There was a big silence above, except the sporadic ignite of the burners so as to
hold the hight. Indeed, this is a deafening drone.

Forenoon we visit the last both temples of our egypt journey: The both temples of "Karnak" and "Luxor".
Close at the shore of nil the mighty ruins of the temple of Luxor are raising into the sky. The temple was consecrated to "Amun", his wife "Mut" and the moon-god "Chons", the sun of both. The Egyptians called it "Ipet Amun Resjet". That means: "The southern female home of Amun". As all Egypt sacred relics it contains the chapel of gods with the according sub-rooms and atria. A large pillar hall and an open court, lead to the two-rows pillar gangway.

Northwards of the Temple of Luxor an alley of aries-heads Sphingen lead us to the "sacred relics of Karnak". The largest temple of Egypt comprises in the most important thing the large "Amun-Temple", the "sacred relics of Chon" as well as a ceremonial-temple of "Thutmosis III", continued also a lot of other buildings.
