Kinkakuji, also known as the 'Golden Temple', is one of the most famous
landmarks in Kyoto and is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The most well-known part, the golden pavilion, is the symbol of the Zen
temple Rokuon-ji.
It reveals its majestic splendor when illuminated by sunlight or covered
in snow. |

Back in Kyoto, we ate the traditional ramen
noodle soup.
This "simple" main course is one of the most important dishes in Japan,
although in Europe it would fall into the fast food category. |
