Nearly our cruise turns to an end. At noon we went to the last bay of our travel. The island is complete ownership of the shipping line "Blue Lagoon" It described romantically in two movies "The Blue Lagoon".
The last day on Blue Lagoon Island. At morning we passed the time by swimming and snorkeling.
At afternoon there was dug a hole in the sand, the "Lovo". At first they crew burn up shells of coconuts and firewood and put stones of corals on the top. In the meantime fish, lamb and chicken will be wraped into bananaleafs.
If the firewood is burned out the food is put on the hot stones, also breadfruit, roots and sweetpotatoes on top. All that is covered carefully by leafs.
Last but not least a cloth is covered on it and filled up with sand. This Lovo is left to oneself for 4 hours.
In the evening the lovo will opened, sands and leafs are removed and the food is unpacked. The meat is so tender that you can put out the bones easily.
After this luxuriant dinner we could drink Kava with the crew as much as possible. We drunk 7 shells. Late at night we crossed back to our ship by boat.
