TRANSLATE 7. Arrived at Assuan, we plentyful to the island "Philae" by boat. The island with its exuberant plants- and flowerage as well as its brilliant temple-constructions was once the "bead of Egypt". Ever since the construction of the "Assuan-Dam", it is sunk into the Nil, but the most important historic monuments could be rescued in a spectacular action and were reconstructed on the higher situated island "Agilkia".
